Four Steps To A Great Fence Project
Step 1: Decide what your fencing goals are
Are you looking for privacy, trying to contain your pets, your children?
Step 2: Research fence styles and options
Each type of fence has its advantages and disadvantages when it comes to cost, maintenance, and functionality.
Step 3: Know your fencing limits
Although the fence company is responsible for laying the fence on your property, make sure you have an understanding of where the property line is and if you have concerns while the fence is going up, raise them before the installation is complete. If you’re not certain of where your property line is, have a survey done.
Step 4: Timeline and budget
No matter what your original thoughts were, you have to have a realistic timeline, your fencing company will work with you on this. Just remember they are busiest in certain seasons. Your budget will be fixed once your contractor has delivered you a signed proposal. If you make changes, they will add to the cost, but get what you want. It’s going to be there a long time!
